Two individuals died in an SUV crash into a creek near the New South Wales-Queensland border. The accident occurred around 1 a.m. at Carwal Creek Bridge, near Mungindi, when the vehicle left Morialta Road. Friends in another car discovered the scene and alerted emergency services. A third occupant, a woman, was rescued and airlifted to John Hunter Hospital in serious but stable condition. Police and investigators are on-site.
