A house fire in Newport, Vermont, early Saturday morning left a single-family home fully engulfed in flames. All residents escaped, but two individuals sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to North Country Hospital. Route 100 was closed for about three hours to facilitate emergency response. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
