The Gauteng Education Department will send SMS notifications to parents on September 16 regarding school placements for Grade 1 and 8 students for the 2025 academic year. Parents can either accept offers as final or provisionally. A second round of admissions will open on December 11 for late applications. MEC Matome Chiloane reassured that all applicants will be placed, highlighting ongoing efforts to address school capacity challenges.
