Ahmed Mashkor, a 30-year-old man from Ottawa, has been charged with second-degree murder and failing to provide the necessaries of life concerning the death of a four-month-old girl on May 6, 2023. The charges follow a 16-month investigation by the Ottawa Police Service's Homicide Unit. Mashkor is set to appear in court on Saturday.
