Meabh White, a 20-year-old car crash survivor, spoke to Transition Year students in Dublin about the serious responsibilities of driving, equating it to operating a "loaded weapon." After suffering severe injuries at age 12, she now advocates for road safety. Her insights are part of the "Road Safety Matters" program, launching in 143 schools to educate students on safe driving. As of September 12, 130 fatalities have occurred on Irish roads this year.
