5 locals arrested for damaging Vande Bharat Express windows with stones ahead of PM Modi's inauguration.
During a trial run of the Vande Bharat Express in Chhattisgarh's Mahasamund district, five local residents were arrested for throwing stones at the train, damaging windows in three coaches. This incident occurred just before Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate the train, which connects Durg and Visakhapatnam. The suspects have been charged under the Railways Act, 1989. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
