Assam cabinet approves petty case withdrawal, Centre of Excellence, wind-solar power, teacher recruitment and infrastructure funding.

The Assam cabinet, led by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, approved amendments to allow the withdrawal of 81,000 petty cases to decongest jails. Key initiatives include establishing a ₹200 crore Centre of Excellence for aerospace and automotive training, procuring 100 MW of wind-solar hybrid power, and a recruitment drive for 4,669 teachers. Additional funding for infrastructure projects and increased beneficiaries for welfare schemes were also approved.
