40-year-old man arrested in Dublin for counterfeit mobile device scheme defrauding €10m.
A 40-year-old man was arrested in Dublin on September 11 as part of an ongoing investigation into a counterfeit mobile device scheme that allegedly defrauded a phone company of €10 million. The investigation, known as Operation Shrike, has led to the freezing of 14 bank accounts and the seizure of over €143,245 in cash. The suspect is currently detained at a Garda station under the Criminal Justice Act 2007 while the investigation continues.
