A railway employee in Uttar Pradesh, Prashant Kumar, was fatally beaten by passengers after being accused of molesting an 11-year-old girl on the Humsafar Express train. The girl’s mother, informed of the alleged assault, alerted others on the train, leading to Kumar's attack. He was pronounced dead at a hospital in Kanpur. The girl's family has filed a sexual assault complaint, while Kumar's family has reported murder. Investigations are ongoing.
