Foxconn and HCL Group have secured about 30 acres in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, to establish a semiconductor outsourced assembly and testing unit, pending central government approval. This venture would be the first of its kind in the state. Foxconn will invest $37.2 million and holds a 40% equity stake. The project is supported by Uttar Pradesh's government incentives and is awaiting approval from the India Semiconductor Mission.
