A fire erupted at Fabrications, a long-standing clothing store in downtown Duncan, on September 12. The blaze, which started in the building constructed around 1901, produced thick smoke but was contained by afternoon without injuries. Significant damage occurred on the second floor, but surrounding businesses were unharmed. Owner Jane Spencer and her staff are in shock, while the community and the Downtown Duncan Business Improvement Area pledged support for the recovery.
