A 17-year-old boy was shot in the face in Conifer, Colorado, while seeking permission to take homecoming photos on a property. He and a friend, unable to find the homeowner, began writing a note when Brent Metz, the homeowner's boyfriend, arrived and fired a shot through their car's windshield. Metz, a town council member, was arrested and charged with first-degree assault and other offenses. The teen was hospitalized, and his condition is currently unknown.
