Tempe Police identified 55-year-old Robert Purdie as the suspect in the August shooting death of his 77-year-old stepfather, Roland B. Jahnke. Purdie was shot by police after he threatened officers with a gun at a mobile home park following a 911 call from his mother. He remains hospitalized and will face charges after his release. Investigations into both Jahnke's death and the officer-involved shooting are ongoing.
