Senior Sergeant Brendan Wiblen, a 58-year-old Queensland police officer, died in a motorcycle accident during the Wall to Wall Ride near Glen Innes, New South Wales. While riding with fellow officers from Brisbane to Canberra to honor fallen colleagues, he lost control of his bike while overtaking another rider and crashed down an embankment. Emergency efforts failed to save him. His family has requested that the ride continue in his memory.
