Meabh White, a 20-year-old car crash survivor, spoke to Transition Year students about the severe consequences of reckless driving, comparing it to operating a loaded weapon. Following her accident at age 12, which left her with serious injuries, she now advocates for road safety. The "Road Safety Matters" program will be launched in 143 schools to educate students about responsible driving. As of September 12, 130 fatalities have occurred on Irish roads this year.
