The University of Hawaii Board of Regents has selected Wendy F. Hensel and Dr. Julian Vasquez Heilig as finalists for the next president of its 10-campus system. Public forums will be held across the state in late September for community engagement. The board will conduct additional interviews after these events. The new president will replace David Lassner, who is retiring by year-end, with an announcement expected in mid to late October.
