Stellantis defends against dealer council's accusations, cites increased sales and $406M Michigan investment.
Stellantis NV has rebutted criticism from its U.S. National Dealer Council, which accused CEO Carlos Tavares of prioritizing short-term gains at the expense of brand integrity. The company labeled the open letter a "public personal attack." Stellantis highlighted a 21% sales increase in August and plans to invest over $406 million in Michigan facilities, including the production of the Ram 1500 REV electric pickup at the Sterling Heights Assembly Plant.
