PDP declines to sign Edo State governorship election peace accord, contingent on conditions.
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has chosen not to sign a peace accord before the Edo State governorship election set for September 21. Governor Godwin Obaseki indicated that the PDP would reconsider signing if certain conditions are fulfilled. In contrast, other parties, including the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Labour Party, have signed the agreement.
