The Cabinet Committee on State-Owned Enterprises (CCoSOEs) in Pakistan, chaired by Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb, has designated the Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) and National Highway Authority (NHA) as essential state-owned enterprises. The meeting focused on enhancing governance and strategic oversight of SOEs to support national development goals. Additional proposals included reconstituting several boards linked to energy and defense production.
