Nokia's PSE-6s technology achieves new world records in optical transmission speeds (800Gbps over 2580km and 900Gbps over 1290km)

Nokia and OTE Group, part of Deutsche Telekom, have achieved new world records in optical transmission speeds using Nokia's PSE-6s technology. They transmitted 800Gbps over 2,580km and 900Gbps over 1,290km during trials on OTE's DWDM network in Greece. The technology enhances network capacity, improves energy efficiency by 40%, and reduces carbon footprint. OTE Group is also expanding its fiber optic and 5G networks, aiming for widespread high-speed internet access.
