The National Crime Agency (NCA) has seized approximately 600 dangerous lifejackets, including some for children, that do not meet UK or European safety standards. These jackets, intended for use in small boat crossings, were discovered in a lorry intercepted in Zwolle, Netherlands, after being shipped from Italy. The 23-year-old driver was arrested on suspicion of people smuggling. This operation involved collaboration with European partners and the UK Border Force.
