A woman hiking on Errigal Mountain injured her lower leg and was airlifted to Letterkenny University Hospital.
A woman was airlifted to Letterkenny University Hospital after injuring her lower leg while hiking on Errigal Mountain. The National Ambulance Service requested assistance from the Donegal Mountain Rescue Team at 12:36 PM. Due to worsening weather, a paramedic from Rescue 118 was lowered to her location, stabilized her, and facilitated her evacuation. She was then transported to the hospital by ambulance after being airlifted from the site.
