At USF St. Petersburg, students promote reproductive rights in response to Florida's abortion ban, forming 15 new Planned Parenthood Generation Action chapters.

Students at the University of South Florida's St. Petersburg campus are actively promoting reproductive rights in response to Florida's six-week abortion ban. Following the 2022 overturn of Roe v. Wade, the number of Planned Parenthood Generation Action chapters in the area surged from three to 18. Led by student Alexis Hobbs, these groups provide emergency contraception, condoms, and sex education, while advocating for expanded abortion rights through petitions and increased awareness.
