Thailand's EV manufacturers, led by EVAT, request production deadline extensions due to bank loan restrictions affecting sales.

Thailand's electric vehicle (EV) manufacturers, led by the Electric Vehicle Association of Thailand (EVAT), are requesting extensions on production deadlines in response to disappointing sales. This decline is attributed to stricter loan requirements from banks. Major Chinese firms, including BYD and Great Wall Motor, are seeking an additional year to meet production targets, aiming to convert 30% of vehicle output to EVs by 2030. The industry has attracted over $1.44 billion in investment.
