Anglers in Bega District caught flathead, snapper, and salmon during early morning fishing.
This weekend in the Bega District, anglers enjoyed catches of flathead, snapper, and more. Early morning fishing yielded sand flathead off Tura Heads, with a water temperature of 14 degrees. Reef fishing produced snapper, morwong, and gummy sharks, while beaches offered plentiful salmon using lures. Lake fishing was slow, but estuaries showed some activity. The MBGLAC clubrooms are open Fridays for fishing reports and upcoming events like Gone Fishing Day.
