Zimbabwe's Deputy Minister for Public Service, Labour, and Social Welfare, Mercy Dinha, has introduced the Persons with Disabilities Bill, which seeks to enhance inclusivity and protect the rights of disabled individuals. This new legislation aims to replace the 1992 Disabled Persons Act and aligns with international human rights standards. It proposes the establishment of a Commission for Persons with Disabilities to develop policies and promote the contributions of disabled citizens.
