Scott Paterson, 45, has pleaded guilty to murdering his 74-year-old landlady, Annette Smith, in their shared home in Stotfold, Bedfordshire. After dismembering her body, he concealed the remains in a storage unit in Letchworth. To mislead her family, he sent messages from Smith's email, pretending she was alive. An investigation by the Bedfordshire Major Crime Unit was initiated after family concerns. Paterson's sentencing is set for November 4.
