Eighteen-year-old Hailey Farnick from Little Falls, Minnesota, was injured in a scooter accident on September 8 when a Jeep driven by 46-year-old Christopher Plakut struck her at the intersection of Haven Road and Riverwood Drive. Farnick was riding on the southbound shoulder, not wearing a helmet or reflective clothing. She was taken to St. Gabriel's Hospital with unspecified injuries. The incident is currently under investigation.
