Tiara Shardae Taylor, a 38-year-old mother from Detroit, has been charged with a five-year felony for unsafe firearm storage after her 3-year-old son accidentally shot himself in the face on September 6. The child, who is in critical but stable condition, found an unsecured gun at their home. Prosecutor Kym Worthy stressed that such incidents are preventable with proper gun storage. Taylor's bond is set at $250,000, with court appearances scheduled for September 17 and 24.
