UK's CMA investigates Carlsberg's £3.3bn acquisition of Britvic over competition concerns.

The UK's Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) has launched an investigation into Carlsberg's £3.3 billion acquisition of Britvic, known for Robinsons squash. The CMA is concerned the merger may lessen competition in the UK market. Announced in July, the deal aims to combine Carlsberg's beer portfolio with Britvic's soft drinks, potentially yielding £100 million in annual cost efficiencies. Britvic also produces J2O and Tango and partners with PepsiCo.
