5 Colorado wolf pack members captured for livestock attacks, relocation planned.

Colorado wildlife officials have captured five members of the Copper Creek wolf pack, the state's first under its wolf reintroduction program, due to repeated livestock attacks. Despite guidelines suggesting relocation has limited effectiveness, officials chose this route instead of killing the wolves to avoid hindering restoration efforts. One wolf died in captivity from unrelated injuries. Plans for releasing the remaining pack members are pending.
