4 climbers found dead on Mont Blanc due to hypothermia after going missing in severe weather.
Four climbers, two from Italy and two from South Korea, were found dead on Mont Blanc after going missing in severe weather. The Chamonix-Mont Blanc rescue team discovered their bodies at 4,700 meters (15,400 feet), with hypothermia cited as the cause of death. The climbers had alerted rescuers on Saturday, but poor conditions delayed rescue efforts. Two other South Korean climbers were successfully rescued at a lower altitude the following day.
