A new law in the UK has led to the establishment of a Firework Control Zone (FCZ) in Pollokshields, Glasgow, prohibiting fireworks from November 1 to November 10, including Bonfire Night. This ban aims to address past issues of firework-related antisocial behavior, including a riot in 2018. Violating the ban will be a criminal offense. Glasgow City Council will also consult the public on possibly extending the FCZ citywide.
