3 sisters die from snakebite in Odisha village; father critical; mother, brother unharmed.
Three sisters in Chariyapali village, Boudh district, Odisha, died from a snakebite while sleeping at home. The victims, aged 12, 9, and 3, were taken to a hospital but did not survive. Their father, who was also bitten, is in critical condition. The family’s mother and brother were unharmed. Odisha has reported over 5,000 snakebite fatalities between 2015-16 and 2022-23. Police confirmed the incident on Monday.
