Nigerian Senate postpones petroleum industry sabotage hearing for further consultations.

The Nigerian Senate has postponed a public hearing on alleged sabotage in the petroleum industry, initially set for September 10-12, 2024. Senate Leader Opeyemi Bamidele cited the need for further consultations with stakeholders and legislative considerations. The ad hoc committee, established to investigate the misuse of funds for refinery maintenance and the importation of hazardous fuels, will announce a new hearing date soon.
