Ghana's FDA shuts down 4 Chinese supermarkets in Accra for selling unregistered products.

Ghana's Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) has shut down four supermarkets in Accra for selling unregistered products, including pharmaceuticals and food, all labeled in Chinese. The Chinese-owned stores—Jia Hua Agricultural Trade Company, Panda Mart, Downwind Sail, and Hauang Jia YI Limited—face fines of at least GH¢25,000 each. The FDA will oversee the relabeling of products in English, as required by law, and urges the public to avoid unregistered items for safety reasons.
