Cochin Shipyard Limited has launched two Anti-Submarine Warfare Shallow Water Crafts (ASW SWCs) for the Indian Navy, named INS Malpe and INS Mulki. These vessels are part of an eight-ship series designed to replace the Abhay class corvettes, focusing on anti-submarine operations and subsurface surveillance. Each ship measures 78 meters long, has a displacement of 900 tonnes, a maximum speed of 25 knots, and an endurance of 1,800 nautical miles.
