ChiNext Index up 0.06% amid Chinese stock market decline; Shanghai and Shenzhen indices down.
On September 9, the ChiNext Index, which focuses on growth enterprises in China, rose 0.06% to 1,539.04 points, despite opening lower at 1,528.65. Overall, Chinese stocks fell, with the Shanghai Composite Index down 1.06% and the Shenzhen Component Index down 0.83%. The combined turnover for both indices decreased to 518.64 billion yuan (about $73.06 billion). Gains were noted in private hospitals, tourism, and hotels, while sectors like banking suffered losses.
