A shooting in Chicago's Avalon Park on Saturday left a woman dead and a 21-year-old man critically injured. The victims were in their car on East 87th Street when an unknown gunman opened fire around 5:20 p.m., striking both in the head. The woman died at the University of Chicago Medical Center, while the man remains in critical condition. Two children in the car were treated at the scene. No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.
