68.2% of respondents believe JSO is performing well, 89.2% feel safe, but 50.1% want more officers.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office (JSO) released a community survey indicating that 68.2% of respondents believe JSO is performing well, and 89.2% of Duval County residents feel safe in their neighborhoods. However, over half (50.1%) feel there aren’t enough officers to meet the city’s needs. Sheriff T.K. Waters stated the results will help identify areas for improvement as JSO collaborates with local leaders to address staffing concerns.
