1.5M Ram pickup trucks globally recalled due to software issue affecting electronic stability control.

Stellantis is recalling nearly 1.5 million Ram pickup trucks globally due to a software issue that may disable the electronic stability control system. The recall affects 2019 and 2021-2024 models, mostly in North America. While the brakes remain functional, the stability control, which helps prevent skidding, could be compromised. There have been no reported crashes or injuries. A free software update will be provided, with notifications starting October 3.
