The Indianapolis Colts have promoted rookie kicker Spencer Shrader from the practice squad to the active roster for their home opener against the Houston Texans, as starter Matt Gay's status is uncertain due to recent hernia surgery. If Gay cannot play, Shrader, an undrafted player from Notre Dame, will take over. The team also elevated cornerback Chris Lammons, who adds depth and previously played for the Colts in 2022.
