Bangladesh appoints Mohammad Tazul Islam as Chief Prosecutor and Attorney General amid rising cases against politicians.

Mohammad Tazul Islam has been appointed as the Chief Prosecutor for Bangladesh's International Crimes Tribunal, also gaining the status of Attorney General. Four other prosecutors have been appointed, including Md Mizanul Islam and Gazi Monawar Hossain Tamim as Additional Attorney Generals. The appointments come amid rising cases against politicians related to alleged crimes during the quota movement. Tajul Islam faces the challenge of prosecuting powerful political figures.
