Bangladesh has appointed Md Jashim Uddin as its 27th Foreign Secretary, succeeding Masud Bin Momen. Uddin, a career diplomat since 1994, has held various ambassadorial roles, including posts in China, Qatar, and Greece. He holds a Master's degree in International Relations from the University of Dhaka and an MA in Modern International Studies from the University of Leeds. His appointment follows Momen's departure on September 1.
