Azerbaijan's National Defense University will start training professional sergeants in Baku, Ganja, and Nakhchivan in the 2024-2025 academic year, following a decree by President Ilham Aliyev. This initiative aims to enhance military education for youth. Graduates who serve in the Azerbaijani Army for five years as officers or sergeants may qualify for subsidized mortgage loans, covering up to 15% of housing costs, funded by the Azerbaijan Mortgage and Credit Guarantee Fund.
