Steven Schapansky, a 54-year-old former teacher from Santa Barbara Charter School, was re-arrested for child molestation after a prior arrest in July for secretly recording minors. Detectives, during their investigation, linked him to molestation allegations. Schapansky is currently held at Northern Branch Jail on $100,000 bail. A legal claim has been filed on behalf of a 13-year-old girl, and a hearing for restraining orders is set for September.
