Concordia Parish Sheriff's deputy Javontrics Murphy, 27, was arrested for multiple charges, including first-degree rape and malfeasance in office, related to inappropriate contact with a 15-year-old juvenile prisoner during transport. The Louisiana State Police Special Victim's Unit began investigating the allegations after being contacted by the sheriff's office in August 2024. The investigation is ongoing.
