19-year-old charged with armed kidnapping at Vaughan Mills shopping center, victim escapes.

A 19-year-old Toronto man, Jonathon Hewston-Bharat, has been charged with six offenses, including armed kidnapping, following an attempted abduction at Vaughan Mills shopping center on August 23. He and three accomplices allegedly forced a woman into a stolen vehicle, with one suspect armed. The victim escaped with minor injuries. Police have recovered the vehicle and continue to search for the three other suspects.
