The U.S. is advancing home electrification, with heat pumps emerging as vital energy-efficient solutions that replace both heating and air conditioning systems. Although slower to adopt than in Europe and Asia, the White House is promoting heat pump use through a multi-billion-dollar initiative, including tax credits from the Inflation Reduction Act. This could significantly lower residential carbon emissions, which currently account for 18% of the U.S. total.
