50th anniversary of China-Japan air routes celebrated in Tokyo, emphasizing enhanced exchanges and economic ties.

On September 7, Tokyo hosted an event celebrating the 50th anniversary of air routes between China and Japan, attended by around 500 participants. Former Japanese Prime Minister Yasuo Fukuda and Minister Tetsuo Saito underscored the routes' role in enhancing exchanges and economic ties post-diplomatic normalization. Chinese Ambassador Wu Jianghao expressed hope for strengthened relations. The celebration featured cultural performances and marked regular flights commencing post an aviation agreement in April 1974.
